Friday Funnies

Hi,

This morning it felt like rain. A few hours later it was rain, for about five hours. It cleared, we cheered, and stepped into a cooler pool. There's a pretty full weekend ahead with tennis, massage, and Formula One.

That 'Summer of Love' song was "Soul Man" by Sam & Dave. It was covered successfully by The Blues Brothers many years later. Now it's time to roll back the clock. Even if you weren't a teen in 1954, I'm sure you know this one:
"__ __, __ __ will you be mine? My darling dear, love you all the time. I'm just a fool, a fool in love with you."
Hint: We've seen this song before. The title is about a celestial being that is terrestrially grounded. Hmm.

We spent another day hanging around the house. The morning dog play now has a few twists. BamBam will chase the ball as long as it's tossed. Daku will chase it for a bit, and then take a break, doing whatever he wants. Once his attention is refocused, he's back in the action again. They have two very distinct personalities and the contrast is sometimes very funny.

Not long after their run, a breeze came and that was a sign that the rain was soon to follow. It wasn't a hard rain, but a steady flow through lunch and beyond. We can usually expect that if the pool level has risen, chances are the temperature has fallen. That was the case today. There was a three degree drop but it was still quite nice for swimming.

This evening I went into town and on my way over the bridge I noticed two men standing waist deep in the river casting nets. It was a beautiful sight, like going back in time. Around the bend I was in the modern world again.

Our friend Atom told us about a non-traditional massage therapist. The woman, Ann, uses a combination of therapies and tomorrow Lisa is going to try it out. It should be an interesting experience since the session lasts three hours.

Saturday night we're going to 'Walking Street', and Sunday we'll go to lunch with Atom and then watch Formula One in the evening. I saw something in town this evening that probably had nothing to do with the auto race, but reminded me of an activity that is associated with such events. A bunch of guys were parked on a side street having a tailgate party at the back of a pick-up truck. Hmm.

Have a Wonderful WeekEnd. It's time for the 'Funnies'.

Peace,
Danny

The Other Side
A brunette is trying to get across a river and suddenly she spots a blonde on the other side. She yells over to the blonde "Hey, excuse me! How do I get over to the other side?" And after a quick survey of the river, the blonde calls back "You ARE on the other side!"
