Thoughts

Hi,

The weekend weather was the usual mixed bag.  The best part was trying to figure out the forecast.  It would say, “The high today will be 90°” and the the current temp would be 94°.  Or the ‘feels like’ would be 10° hotter than the current temp.  Why not just say it’s going to be hotter?  Rant over.

The ‘Old School Friday’ song that a few of you knew was “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes” by The Platters.  Time for another round of ‘Easy Monday’, from the year 1973.  “__ __ __ __ __ __ __, that’s why I’ll always be around.  You are the apple of my eye, forever you’ll stay in my heart.  I feel like this is the beginning, though I’ve loved you for a million years.  And if I thought our love was ending, I’d find myself drowning in my own tears…”  Hint: The light from the big glowy thing in the sky is involved.

Saturday morning Lisa got the green light to go home from Bangkok Hospital (BH).  She had a good visit with her doctor, who gave her a bunch of stuff to try for a few days.  We go back tomorrow for an evaluation.  Things are going well, no bad headaches.

The homecoming was what we expected; JaiDee thrilled to see Lisa.  He finally settled down and we had a relaxed Saturday afternoon.  Of course, that evening, after our walk, it was time for Formula One qualifying.  Zoom.

This was a Buddhist holiday weekend and when we went to Chivit Thamma Da for an outing with JaiDee, we were surprised at how crowded it was.  Once we remembered the holiday it all made sense.  It was the first big occasion for people to go out.  There was a festive vibe in the air.  After coffee and ice, we went to Browney Pet World, JaiDee’s favorite shopping adventure.  When we go there, he has it in his mind that he should stand at the check-out counter like we do.  It doesn’t help that part of it is low enough for him to assume the right position.  Next time I’ll have to take a photo of Mr. Shopping Dog.

Today’s photo is from our yard.  It’s what we call the ‘Kitchen Garden’.  The window is the big kitchen.

This morning, as we prepared to go to Big C, JaiDee got all agitated.  He just knew he was going with us.  We always go somewhere in the morning.  He got his road trip a little later, when we went to Work@Home and he got to hang out with Katai.

We had a great swim before dinner and then, while we were finishing dinner, Cat and her friend came over to swim and then go with us to the walking place.  It was a pretty busy day, with a nice ending.

Have a Great Week.         You know the drill:  No shoes, no shirt, no mask, no service.  Live long and prosper.

                           Peace,
                                     Danny
