This morning, while we were talking to Lisa’s dad, Joe, we watched a big, dark cloud move into the neighborhood. All of a sudden we were in a heavy downpour. The thing lasted about 5 minutes and it was over. So Thailand.
A few readers recognized the ‘Easy Monday’ song. It was by a Bay Area (California) family affair.
“I cloud nine when I want to. Out of school, yeah. Country fair in the country sun, and everything, it’s true, ooh, yeah. __ __ __ __ __, __ __ __ __ __, __ __ __ __ __, __ __ __ __ __. First of the fall and then she goes back, bye, bye, bye, bye there…” Clue: The writing in this has some very sly touches. It’s a seasonal thing.
We took JaiDee to Chivit Thamma Da for ice on his birthday (555). Actually, we went for coffee and he got a lot of love. As soon as we went in the front door he got the usual greeting from ‘His people’, but when we told them it was his birthday, well, it got a little rowdy for a moment. This afternoon it was JaiDee who got a little rowdy, or should I say ‘naughty’. He decided that it would be a good thing to bite his leash and jump up on us. Two things that will bring out the word ‘No’ faster than anything else. It wasn’t until his walk this evening that he calmed down. “They” keep saying that he will get calmer, in six months to a year. We’re back to the second dog concept. He desperately needs a playmate.
Yesterday we read about a positive test for the virus in Rayong, south of Bangkok. That is where Tatt is from. He wrote today, telling us about it. It’s a relatively small town so this is cause for concern. It was another case of someone from another country that came into Thailand with the virus. More will be revealed, but I suspect that the health authorities have already sorted it out. Imagine, one positive test.
We wanted to send out a birthday portrait of JaiDee, but this was his mood.
Have a Happy Tuesday. Be kind, wear a mask.
Peace,
Danny
