Common

Hi,

Last night and this morning we had rain.  It was very light, but it was steady rain just the same.  The temperature today was cooler and that was very nice.

I got several responses on the ‘Easy Monday’ song.  I know a lot of you were humming it all day.  Tell me if you know:
“__, thank you for the sunshine bouquet.  __, thank you for the love you’ve brought my way.  You gave to me your all and all, now I feel ten feet tall.  __, one so true, I love you.”  Clue:  Part of the weather forecast in many places.

The adventure today was a trip to Big C.  Yeah, I know, seems rather routine at this point, but sometimes it’s the travel and the observations that make life exciting.  Take today, for instance.  On the Super Highway, crews were out with big trucks working on something that was, at first, hard to figure out.  On our return trip I realized they were preparing to install another giant light pole.  The kind that can illuminate an entire neighborhood.  We don’t drive down the highway at night so I’ve never seen them in action.  Must add to the to-do list (555).

Yesterday we saw lots of yellow.  That’s because Monday’s color is yellow and both the former and the present King were born on Monday.  The King’s birthday is later this month and it seems that there is a new interest in having a big celebration.  When we went to the market last week, we saw several shops full of yellow shirts and jackets.  It does add a little something to the day.

When we woke up and realized it had rained overnight, our first thought was TongDee.  She sleeps outside and we weren’t sure if she would be dry.  Apparently she spent the night on one of the porches or the carport because she was dry.  She is slowly getting comfortable with the property.  She moves from resting place to resting place, hanging out, watching what happens inside through the big windows.  There is still a resistance to making friends with JaiDee.  The consistent guidance on all things of this nature is patience.  Tell that to JaiDee.  He finally gets a dog to play with and the dog won’t play.  You can ‘feel’ the frustration in his whines and barks.  His persistence will win in the end.

Today’s photo is a recent addition to the drink menu at The Wanderer.  I tried it the other day and I’ll say, ‘Interesting, but a little sweet’.  It’s espresso over lime soda.

Have a Happy Tuesday.

                    Peace,
                              Danny
