Friday Funnies

Hi,

The sky was cloudy for parts of the day.  It lived up to the forecast and gave us temps in the mid-90’s.  Another beautiful day.

The ‘Jazzy Wednesday’ tune was “We’re In This Love Forever” by Al Jarreau. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otVH5cv9z1A  Now it time for ‘Old School Friday’, and a little something you might remember:
“(Shoo-bop, shoo-bop), my baby) (Shoo-bop, shoo-bop)  __ __ it seems so good to see you back again, how long has it been?  (Ooo, seems like a mighty long time, shoo-bop, shoo-bop my baby)…”  Hint:  This sultry ballad came out in 1963 by a woman with several other hits.  It’s a common greeting that had deeper meaning as the song goes on.

This morning we did things a little differently.  We thought the power would go off at 8:30am, but it stayed until a little after 9am.  That gave us more time to get ready for our two restaurant morning.  After JaiDee’s walk we went to The Wanderer for coffee, roti and ice with our friend John.  At one point, I took JaiDee for his second walk down to the river.  We saw the geese, and then walked along the bank for a bit.  I had never done that before. He found lots of places to stick his nose, but I pulled him away from some suspicious holes.  He’s good for about an hour and a half, then he gets restless.  We know the signs, so at 11am we said our goodbyes and stopped by the house so JaiDee could use the facilities (555).  When I walked in the house, the air was going and the pool filter was bubbling.  The power was back.  We decided to keep to our plan and go to Chivit Thamma Da for lunch.

When we arrived at Chivit it was very crowded.  There were tables available, but the place was buzzing.  JaiDee was suddenly in character, posing for photos, nodding to fans and generally creating an aura around himself.  He had one couple getting on the ground to pose with him.  Another session saw him changing his pose in order to look into the camera.  What a ham.  About the time we finished our salads, he was ready to go.  On the way out, he was still attracting admirers.  It’s a good thing the staff loves him too.

Back at The Big Brown House, we all crashed.  Then the air/con repair crew arrived at 2:30pm, two hours early, and that changed the whole afternoon.  None of us was ready to get up and leap into action, but that’s what had to happen.  One machine is doing fine, no leaking, but the main one in our room is showing signs of decline.  After 12 years of constant use, well, it can be forgiven (555).

Today’s photo is another of Nitchanan and JaiDee hanging out.  He almost looks a little bored with the photo-shoot process, but ‘the show must go on’.

Have a Wonderful WeekEnd.     Time for the ‘Funnies’.   Oh, it’s another Formula 1 weekend, this time from England.

                           Peace,
                                     Danny
