Demand

Hi,

The weather in Chiang Rai reached the low 90’s again today.  There was a tiny chance of rain and that’s what we got, a few drops on the windshield.  Tomorrow will be more of the same.  Hmm, summer?

The ‘Easy Monday’ song was “Smooth Operator” by Sade.  This next ‘Zany Day’ song should be familiar:  “I wanna jump but I’m afraid I’ll fall.  I wanna holler but the joint’s too small.  Young man rhythm’s got a hold of me too.  I got the __ __ __ __ __ __ __.”  Hint:  A different kind of pandemic, but an illness just the same (555).  The year was 1957.

This morning Nitchanan woke up at 7am, which is very unusual for her.  Who could sleep in on the first day back to school?  Lisa captured the moment just before the family left for school.

Right after the family left, we left for Bangkok Hospital.  We have been trying to determine why Lisa keeps having  bad headaches.  There was an attempt to do an MRI a few weeks ago but the claustrophobic nature of the device made it unbearable.  Today was different.  Her doctor suggested having an anesthesiologist sedate her so they could make a proper imaging of her brain.  Everything went perfect and in the afternoon we discovered that her brain is very healthy.  The mystery continues, but her doctor, a neurologist, keeps trying new things and researching possibilities.  Needless to say, we really like this place.

A new harness arrived today for JaiDee.  I think he gets more mail than we do.  This one is unique in that it’s supposed to inhibit pulling, which he does with great ease.  The leash connection on the top behind his head, gently squeezes when he pulls to hard.  There is also a ring at his chest that can be used for control.   Power dog is literally a handful, so tonight she used the leash connection behind his head, and the Gentle Leader, which worked just fine.

Thailand eased more restrictions today, but kept the ‘Emergency Decree’ in place.  This means that the government can reinstate restrictions when deemed necessary.  Night clubs and restaurants have to comply with health department guidelines and can face closure if they don’t comply.  International visitors will still have to wait, possibly until the end of July, and then it’s very specific as to who can enter the Kingdom.

This is the time when we normally would be visiting the States.  Obviously, we’re not going this year.  Those of you who live there are in our thoughts.

It really is a Wacky Wednesday.

                          Peace,
                                    Danny
