Gentle

Hi,

We had our second day in a row with no rain.  Early this morning the sky was totally clear.  Later, clouds appeared far away, but never changed the day.  It was hot.

The ‘Easy Monday’ song was “Hot Fun In The Summertime” by Sly & The Family Stone.  It’s ‘Jazzy Wednesday’ time:
“Tall and tan and young and lovely, __ __ __ __ goes walking and when she passes, each one she passes goes ahhh.”
Hint:  This should be easy.  Jazz is a big part of Brazilian music.  That’s where this is from.  A specific seaside town is mentioned.

We tried to think of a new place to take JaiDee, but weren’t sure so we went back to Chivit.  With The Wanderer closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, we’re at a loss.  There were a lot of guests at Chivit this morning.  When we got to our table, they greeted us with a chorus of ‘Good morning’.  I guess this means we’re regulars.  JaiDee’s ice arrived right away and it was like family.

After coffee we went to Browney Pet World for vitamins and treats.  JaiDee was on his most charming behavior and was greeted by one of his friends as soon as we walked in.  In the course of shopping, we met a woman with a 6 month old Husky.  She showed us photos and took pics of JaiDee.  His gentle leader collar is what started the whole thing.  As soon as Lisa explained that he was easier to control, she was interested.  On the way to the check-out we saw a man with a beautiful orange parrot on his shoulder.  Wow.

Today’s photo is JaiDee at the check-out, making sure they put all of his stuff in the bag.

There is major drama going on in Rayong.  The whole town has basically been shut down as a result of a soldier from Egypt breaking a self-imposed isolation, and then testing positive for Covid-19.  He and his friends visited a major mall and several other spots around town.  Now, over 1800 local citizens are being kept at home, and all the schools are closed.  The Egyptian government has apparently apologized, but business in Rayong has come to a stop.  Hotels are down 90% and everyone is afraid to do anything.

This afternoon we got a message from our friends at Doy Din Dang, letting us know that their coffee shop had reopened.  When Lisa wrote to ask about bringing the puppy, they were more than welcoming.  There used to be local stray dogs hanging around, but now they’ve moved on.  Tomorrow we will take JaiDee to another magical wooded area.

Have a Thrilling Thursday.

                      Peace,
                                Danny
