Boat

Hi,

The weather delivered rain on Sunday, all day.  Nothing heavy, just a constant light rain.  All the plant life loved it.  I think this kind of weather revs up teenage puppies.

The ‘Old School Friday’ song was “Drown In My Own Tears” by Ray Charles.  It’s time for an ‘Easy Monday’ tune:
“End of the spring and here she comes back.  Hi, hi, hi, hi there.  Them summer days, those summer days.
That’s when I had most of my fun back.  High, high, high, high there.  Them summer days, those summer days.”  Hint:  You might say, it’s a song about summertime.  Hmm.

My computer has decided to do it’s own thing.  It wants to have just one window open on my desktop at a time.  Things slide off to the side, completely off the screen, and when I try to get them back, I have to search for them.  So very frustrating.  Writing this message is taking longer than usual because I need to see things.  We all develop our own style of doing things, even if it’s just looking at mail.  Oh well, tomorrow we’ll go to the mall, visit the Apple Store (which is called iBeat) and get it resolved.  It will probably be some simple thing that got clicked for the sole purpose of driving me crazy.

I have been explaining to JaiDee that tomorrow (the 14th) is his birthday.  We are not having a party for him, but we have considered having a ’Survivor’s Party’ for us.  If we dressed him up with a little hat and bow-tie, he’d have them off in 2 seconds and eat them.  In lieu of a cake, we’ll just sprinkle some treats on the floor and watch him vacuum them up (555).

Today’s photo was taken on our walk by the government building.  I held the camera up so I could get a full view of the Teak forest that borders one part of the path.  The trees are protected, so it just grows and does it’s thing.

Every day we realize that there is much to be grateful for, even though things are much different than we ever imagined.  We live in an area where safety precautions are taken at most of the places we frequent.  When we are out and about, almost everyone is wearing a mask, and if you don’t have one, some stores will provide one so you can enter.

This morning Nitchanan got a van ride to school.  We were sitting on the front porch with JaiDee, watching the morning rain shower and she gave us a very enthusiastic ‘bye bye’ as they left.  This afternoon it was back on the motorbike for the ride home.  Since schools are now open, we’re seeing the private ‘School Buses’ around town.  Things are slowly creeping up on normal, or at least how it used to be.

Have a Great Week.

                       Peace,
                                 Danny

but we’re all in the same boat now.”
