Value

Hi,

The cold continues, but the temps are inching up very slowly.  We are being brave, bundling up and going on as if blah, blah, (555).

The ‘Easy Monday’ song was “Monday Monday” by The Mamas and Papas.  See, now the clues make sense.  ‘Jazzy Wednesday’ is up next, with a song that has been a staple of many singers since it left Broadway.  “__ __ __, __, don’t let him take me, don’t let him handle me and drive me mad.  If you can keep me I wanna stay here with you forever and I’ll be glad.”  Hint:  Originally from a musical, made popular in 1958 by a very talented artist who recorded it in her style.

It was ‘warm enough’ to sit on the front porch and have our coffee.  A little later, we regrouped and took JaiDee over to The Wanderer for his ice and our coffee and roti.  Mercy was hanging out with the Wanderer family and some friends and she gave JaiDee a warm, Husky greeting.  She even did a little ‘play with me’ dance, which he noticed, but was more interested in his human friends.  JaiDee dashed over to Khwan and didn’t leave her until we pulled him away.  As we were leaving we saw our friends Susan and Noy, who grow the delicious hydroponic lettuce.  We caught up on the latest news both human and animal.  They are also dog people.  One interesting story was about light snow in northern Laos.  It was good to see them again.

Today’s photo was taken at The Wanderer.  Some friends of Khun Noot brought some huge orchids and made table arrangements.

After taking JaiDee home, we went to Browney Pet World to exchange a bed we got for TongTong.  The one we got was too small.  She just looked at it and slept beside it.  From Browney we went to the nursery, about a minute away.  Lisa got some plants to fill out one of the gardens, and discovered some stepping stones shaped like the cross-section of a log.  We have an area on the west side of the house that is mostly in shade, and has become a dirt path.  Between the house and the tall trees, grass won’t grow.  Now that we walk around the house so much, we need a more suitable surface.  It’s never done.

One of today’s headlines was “Infection rate down”.  Yesterday there were 287 reported cases in Thailand and today the number was 157.  Some of the cases were arrivals from other countries and are now in either quarantine or treatment.  I’m just glad they’re catching them.

It feels like a Wacky Wednesday.    Wear your mask, please.

                            Please,
                                       Danny
