Honest

 Hi,

Cold!  That’s the one word to best describe the last 24 hours.  It’s also what we have to look forward to for a few more days.  The lows are in the high 40’s and tomorrow we’re having a heatwave: mid 70’s.  Today’s high was 58°.

The ‘Easy Monday’ song was one a lot of you remembered.  Here’s the second verse:  “__ __, can’t trust that day.  __ __, sometimes it just turns out that way.  Oh __ morning you gave me no warning of what was to be.  Oh __ __, how could you leave and not take me.”  Clue:  A day of the week that’s sometimes blue.  Group name implies a gathering of parents.

Another Tuesday, another day around the house.  It was so cold that we had our morning coffee at the dining room table, and the dogs had their Kongs inside.  We stayed heavily dressed all day.  We have finally gotten used to living without heat.  One would think so after all these years.  We have a super space heater for the bathroom, but with the dogs, it seems better not to have space heaters in our living areas.  So, we wrap up and try to focus on something else.  It’s the walking around that makes it obvious that it’s really cold.  It wasn’t too cold to keep us from our evening walk.  I’ll say this, another walk like tonight and lined gloves will be in order, and maybe goggles.

There is a plan to reduce utility bills and boost internet speeds for those working at home.  The Cabinet is trying to offset the financial impact of the pandemic here in Thailand.  Some provinces are offering rice to those who need help with food.

If you want to keep people off an island, declare it off limits and close the passport office.  That’s what was done here with the island of Koh Si Chang, off the coast of Pattaya.  They're trying to stop the covid surge that has been happening there.  Travelers have been a big part of the increase in cases in Thailand.  By closing the island, tourist travel is eliminated.    Life remains covid-free in our province.  Grateful.

Today’s photo is like the ‘old days’ when I’d snap unusual sights on the street.  There’s the Browney Pet World sign in the background.

I can feel the air getting colder in our bedroom.  Another layer of clothing?  Maybe a blanket.

Have a Happy Tuesday.

                        Peace,
                                  Danny
