Friday Funnies

 Hi,

We had a almost great weather day.  Started a little chilly, but turned into a mild day with no need for a jacket.  This evening I had to shed clothing on our walk.  Imagine that.  Expecting a high of 82° tomorrow.

The ‘Jazzy Wednesday’ tune was “I Love You Porgy”, as sung by Nina Simone.  It’s from Porgy & Bess.  Here’s the recording from 1958:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tq5A0YadWKs   ‘Old School Friday’ is next.  Let’s drift back to 1968 and sing along:  “I like to dream, yes, yes, right between the sound machine.  On a cloud of sound I drift in the night.  Any place it goes is right.  Goes far, flies near, to the stars away from here.  Well, you don’t know what we can find.  Why don’t you come with me little girl, on a __ __ __.”  Hint:  Genies ride them and say they get good mileage.

This morning made two days in a row that we didn’t take JaiDee on an adventure.  We told him he couldn’t come to the mall.  He said it was close to animal abuse.   He was happy to spend the morning with Natcha.  We actually began our trip at HomePro, which is similar to Home Depot, but less of a do-it-yourself and more of a ‘bring your contractor with you.  They have good stuff and we wanted good stuff (555).  I try not to get too distracted in places that have gadgets and devices, the mind wanders, coming up with reasons why it would be good to have certain things.  Then, as we were about to leave, I was ‘parked’ by the new ‘QLED’ TVs.  I have no idea what it all means, other than there are 4 thousand bits of goodness making the colors jump out of the screen.  That, I need.

Our next stop was Starbuck’s for a pre-mall refreshment break.  Inside the near-empty mall we consulted our list (a safety measure [555]) and got what we went for.  Oh, the giant Christmas tree is still up.  What?  Yep, and people are still taking photos inside and around it.  Sometimes one can see something repeatedly and not realize what it is that is being seen.  At Central Plaza Mall, all of the telephone brands, other than Apple, are in one area with open counter type ‘stores’.  Not walls, more like the make-up section in a department store.  The number of devices for sale is what blows my mind.  Each brand may have 4 or 5 models, some vendors selling 3 or 4 brands.  There is a very cooperative community vibe, and somehow they all stay in business.

Today’s photo was taken on November 20.  One time, I just had to go inside one time.

This evening Nitchanan was all excited about going to a birthday party for her 3 year old cousin.  She had on her backpack, ready for an evening of fun.

Have a Wonderful WeekEnd.    It’s time for the ‘Funnies’.    Don’t forget to protect yourself and others.

                       Peace,
                                 Danny
