Lost

Hi,

It was a busy weekend at the Big Brown House. We had a dinner, a gathering of artists and of course, rain. And that's just the big stuff.

The weekend song eluded most of you. It was "A Fool In Love" by Ike & Tina Turner. I was told that it would only be recognized by 'old people'. Hmm. It was a pretty old tune. Maybe you'll do better with this one:
"I, I love the colorful clothes she wears, and the way the sunlight plays upon her hair." Clues: It's about a buzz of sorts, caused by a special person. The tune is by a California group that spent a lot of time on the sand. Hmm.

Saturday we had dinner with Dr. Arnon and his family. His wife couldn't make it but his mother-in-law and his two kids came and we had a very warm evening. He has a girl who is 5 and a boy who is 3. We talked of many things and learned a lot about our favorite vet. Last year he was voted Best Veterinarian in Thailand. We had been noticing a big building project across the street from his office and found out that it will be the new home for his practice. He's building a state of the art facility complete with a rehab therapy pool for dogs. Oh, and his kids love Superman. Why not?

Sunday afternoon was 'Art Day' at our house. The owner of 9 Gallery, Sompong and his wife Nai, came over to view and select the art that Paradorn and Lisa will have in the August show. Paradorn and his wife Mau came a little early to set up his work. The house was buzzing with excitement and anticipation. As it turned out, Sompong was quite impressed with all the work and left it up to the artists to decide what to show. Sompong commented that he could see Lisa's 'spirit' in her work. Then we discussed the art biz aspect of the show and got all the details involved in the 'production'. We were left with many things to do. It was pretty cool to think that in less than two years we have been welcomed into the art community and Lisa will have a show at the 9 Gallery. There we were, three couples all working towards a common goal. Nice.

One of the things that was needed by Nai was photos of five pieces. Paradorn left his work at our house and he and his wife returned today and I photographed all of his work while we had good weather. The muted sunlight was perfect for shooting his work outside. The new camera performed beautifully.

BamBam and Daku wanted to visit with all our guests this weekend but we had to keep them at a distance. They get so excited and it would have been a major distraction. Also, on Sunday there was art work all over the floor. Not a good mix.

The dogs got to play in the yard between the rain and they were very cute, running and bounding and chasing each other. BamBam loves to run. Daku has his moments, but he's growing so fast that he's still a bit clumsy. He's the 'joker' of the two and is always full of mischief. It's hard to remember that he's still a baby.

Have a Great Week.

Peace,
Danny
