Music

Hi,

Today was a perfect day for a road trip. We traveled north to the 'factory' and beyond. Tomorrow is another holiday, and the festivals continue. We also had a nice visit with a friend.

I got a lot of 'hits' on this one. Many of you knew the song, but missed out on the spelling. Lots of old memories.
"And __ has stormy eyes, that flash at the sound of lies. And __ has wings to fly above the clouds (above the clouds)..." Hint: It's a girls name, but not quite the one you might think.

This morning we drove north to the Ban Den district to see the latest framing work by Khun Tod. He did two of Lisa's cast acrylic prints in the style that was discussed on Monday's visit. One was done in brown and the other in black. They both came out beautifully and Lisa was very pleased. The rest of the work will follow the same style, with his discretion on the shade of brown for the appropriate works.

We continued north to the Mae Chan area to go to Tesco. It was an item on our gift list and since we were half-way there we figured it was worth the side trip. On the way back we stopped at the airport so I could get my airline tickets for a February trip to Phuket. It was quite a morning.

This afternoon our friend Johan came over for a little pool business, and to catch up on what's been happening. Among the things we talked about were the possibilities for warming the pool. We may have hatched a plan. He also told us about his 10 month old grand-daughter in Holland. It was good to hang out for awhile.

Chiang Rai is busy with the Food Festival and the Fish Eating Festival (not sure if that's what they call it). Tomorrow is Constitution Day. I'm sure that will be cause to light more fireworks. There might even be a parade somewhere in town.

We're at the point where it's time to bring in a suitcase and start that wonderful ordeal of packing for the trip to America. We leave Thailand on December 22 and will stay in the States until January 12. So much to do before we leave. The excitement is beginning.

Have a Thrilling Thursday.

Peace,
Danny
