Wealth

Hi,

Today was a hot, clear day. It's hard to imagine that we actually wanted clouds, but we did. The swimming party was a splashing success, and the dogs are making great progress in their socialization. Hmm.

Our 'Easy Monday' song was "Smooth Operator" by Sade. See, you knew that. This one may be a challenge for some:
"I wanna tell you 'bout my good thing. I ain't disclosing no names but, he sure is a good friend and! .... Ain't gonna call me Mr. Pitiful, no!... Hint: We've grooved to this before. A nod to The Godfather, the 'Hardest Working Man in Show Business', and the title is not mentioned in the song. In fact, I have no idea what it means. It's by a British outfit.

Today was the day we had our party. I know, it seems odd to have a party in the middle of the afternoon. It wasn't too odd for eight friends to show up and get wet. We munched on melon, chips, and other fruit for a bit, and then hit the water. It's the first time 'Marco Polo' has been played in our pool. It was fun watching adults being drawn back into childhood by the water. It wasn't so much a swimming party as a 'water play' party. There were also great conversations about many different topics, in the water. There will be more of these in the future I'm sure.

Our desire for clouds today is the fact that they mute the sun a bit. When we're in the pool, it's usually around 3 or 4pm and there's a daily procession of clouds that drifts overhead. It would have been perfect for the party. Instead we had blazing sun. It was still a wonderful day.

The dogs got to visit with our friends today, and they were very polite. BamBam didn't bark at them, Daku didn't jump up on anyone, and food thefts were kept to a minimum. They had met most of our guests before, but it was still encouraging to see the progress they've made.

It's time for Wacky Wednesday.

Peace,
Danny
