Give

Hi,

Happy Earth Day to you. Hmm, something doesn't sound right about that. Anyway, some of you early birds will find this message a little later than usual. We just got back from Mu Mai restaurant, where we took Boot for her birthday. More about that later.

The Police were the singers of "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic", just in case it slipped your mind. Our next song is in honor of Earth Day (do you see a theme here?). This song might be sung to us by The Earth:
"You know I love you, do anything for you, just don't mistreat me and I'll be good to you, 'cause if you should lose me, oh, yeah __ __ __ __ __" Clue: I think it's pretty straight forward. A rather clear message for someone to toe the line. Hmm.

Today is Boot's Birthday and we told her to do just do a few light things, and enjoy the day. We took her to lunch at the Rimkok Resort, which is just down the road from the house. It was fun going out like that. After lunch we strolled the grounds of the hotel, looked at the river and then sat by their giant pool. Boot's boyfriend Rene called from France while we were by the river. It was perfect timing.

I know that some of Thailand is aware of the Earth Day campaign, but I'm not so sure it's really been accepted. If it had, there wouldn't have been fires burning this morning. Kind of a slap in the face. So it causes me to wonder just what it will take for everyone to be on the same page (or planet). Things are changing, even disappearing. If one person can make a difference, imagine what a whole big bunch of people could do.

Last night Lisa made cards for Boot. One was from 'The Kids' with baby pictures of both dogs. Then there was the grown up card from us. We planned to go to Mu Mai for dinner. It's the place where our friend Berm sings and plays guitar. We hadn't heard him in a while and we all like the place. We also made arrangements for Ty (new spelling) to meet us and surprise Boot. She was quite surprised and it was a treat to watch. They are very good friends and it really made the evening complete. After dinner Berm sang Happy B'day, and a little cake that Ty brought appeared from the waiter's station.

We'll have to wait until tomorrow for the tips for two wheels in Thailand.

It's time for a Wacky Wednesday.

Peace,
Danny

PS The quote could have many meanings today.

"All you have shall some day be given; Therefore give now,
that the season of giving may be yours and not your inheritors."
