Friday Funnies

Hi,

Well, I guess it had to happen eventually, we got a little rain.  By ‘little rain’ I mean that a little bit fell over a long period of time.  Some parts of town had better luck, but for us it was just a tease.  Still grateful.

The ‘Zany Day’ song was “Does Everyone Stare” by The Police.  ‘Old School Friday’ is from the first LP by The Police.  “__, you don’t have to put on the red light.  Those days are over, you don’t have to sell your body to the night.  __, you don’t have to wear that dress tonight.  Walk the streets for money, You don’t care if it’s wrong or if it’s right.”  Hint:  It’s from 1978, but I don’t really think you need a hint on this one.  It’s a name.

We started our day at The Wanderer.  We were greeted in the parking lot by Mercy.  She was leading Lisa down the path when Lisa turned to wait for me.  Mercy stopped, looked back, and went back for Lisa.  Eventually, we all got to the entrance of the shop.  When we sat down at our usual table, Mercy came over and touched us both and proceeded to relax against my leg.

Our morning mission was to deliver Lisa’s artwork to ArtBridge for the exhibit that will be at Central Plaza Mall.  We later found out that it was short notice for everyone.  As we were leaving, Lisa mentioned that she’d be happy to help with the English whenever it was necessary.  She got a big thank you from the new manager.  Her name is Beer, and in keeping with the recent discussion on ‘Play names’, this is a perfect example of just choosing a word at random.  In Thai it sounds like ‘bee-ah’.  Some things we are not meant to understand.

Natcha and Gong rode their motorbike up to Mae Sai at 5am this morning to get their daughter Nitchanan.  She’d been staying with her grandparents, but decided she wanted to be with her parents and started crying very early.  It’s an hour drive each way in a car, probably a lot longer on their bike.  Anyway, she’s at home and happy, but this evening when I went into the kitchen, she was on a long video call with the grandparents.

What message would be complete without a photo of Jai Dee.  Here, he is staring out into the yard, having spotted a bird.  ‘What was that?'

Have a Wonderful WeekEnd.           Time for the ‘Funnies’.

                          Peace,
                                    Danny
