Everybody’s talkin’ ‘bout the weather and the smoke. My curiosity about the word ‘poaching’ has been satisfied for
the moment. Land can be poached as well as animals. What the fire-starters are doing is ‘stealing’ land to create farms in the forest. Major companies are paying people to grow corn. Thailand and surrounding countries are becoming monocultures, that is, only growing one crop. This can be very detrimental. It’s becoming a ‘thing’ based mostly on money.
The ‘Non-Zany’ song was “Cherish” by The Association. We’ll end 'Association week' with what may be a sad song:

We had what might be called an easy day. A short distance from home to Sabroso for lunch with our friends Lisa, her dad Edwin, and relatives. It’s always cool to meet new people we can relate with on different levels. The food was delicious as usual, and that made it more fun. Our guests had never been to Sabroso. The rest of the day was spent trying to beat the 100+ temps.
