Dreamer

Hi,

Last night we had a tiny little rain event.  The ground got wet, but it wasn’t enough to make a difference.  By morning the air was still unhealthy.

The Carpenters seem to bring back a lot of memories.  There’s really nothing ‘Zany’ about this, just a good song.
“So many times when the city seems to be without a friendly face, a lonely place.  It’s nice to know that you’ll be there if I need you and you’ll always smile, it’s all worthwhile.  When there’s no getting over that rainbow.  When my smallest of dreams won’t come true… But __ __ __ __ __ __ __.”  Clue?:  You don’t need no clue.

This morning we went out into the world.  Our first stop was the local Suzuki dealer for some troubleshooting.  We’ve been hearing a strange sound from the front of the van and didn’t want to take any chances.  It’s the fan motor, not a problem and will be fixed on Monday.  So glad they have a young man with a fair amount of English working in the service department.  Trying to communicate things like this can be very difficult at times.

A notice from the post office of an International Delivery was motivation enough for us to drive up to Ban Du and retrieve the goods.  It was stuff for Daku, and Customs wanted their share.  Hmm.

We had a double dose of tacos today.  First, there was lunch at Sambroso, where you get four little open-faced tacos full of chicken and tomatoes.  For dinner, Natcha served her delicious home-made tortillas filled with chicken and veggies.  They’re really more like burritos without the beans.  Before dinner I went in the kitchen and Nitchanan had a little ball of dough, imitating her mom, kneading it and basically having fun.

Today would have been our dear friend Blue’s 76th birthday.  He’s been on my mind lately.  A lot of things either remind me of him or things I think he’d get a kick out of.  I decided to post a few photos.

We were clowning at the mall.  He’s thinking, this dude has lost his mind.

This was taken in the States by his good friends Mariana and Richard

This is our ‘famous’ Songkran selfie

Have a Thrilling Thursday.

                     Peace,
                               Danny
