Forgive

Hi,

The rainy season is still here.  We had a lot of rainfall this weekend, mostly while we were at home.

The ‘Old School Friday’ song was “Rockin’ Pneumonia & the Boogie-Woogie Blues” by Huey ‘Piano’ Smith.  Time now for an ‘Easy Monday’ song.  “Whenever I’m with him something inside, starts to burning and I’m filled with desire.  Could it be the devil in me or is this the way love’s supposed to be?  It’s like a __ burning in my heart….”  Hint:  This dance tune is by a major ‘Girl Group’ in the early 60s.  The one-word title could also relate to recent hot weather.

Tonight I took the last of the medication the doctor gave me and I can say that the worst of it is over.  No more fever, the congestion and coughing are better.  Now I just have to build up my stamina.  Gotta be ready for Chiang Mai in two weeks.

Within one week we had two record breaking storms, at least in our yard.  The one this weekend flooded our already saturated lawns to the point where both yards were lakes.  The part that wasn’t underwater was so wet that stepping ‘into’ it submerged the feet.  In other parts of the country things aren’t draining as conveniently and there has been flooding of streets and neighborhoods.  Most of this has been near Bangkok.

On Sunday morning Cat came over for a visit.  It was nice to have time to just talk about school and life with her.  We heard about her adventures motorbiking in the rain while getting around the campus.  Her life as a college student has put new pressures on her in the area of time management.  She’s keeping up with assignments and commitments and that’s pretty cool.  We did some shopping errands and then went to The Wanderer for lunch.  Cat had a great time catching up with her friends who still work there.

Today’s photo is the sign in front of the business down the road.

The little family returned from Mae Sai this morning.  It rained while they were there so they spent most of the time inside.  They were happy to be back home and Neetchanon was full of big smiles and vocalizations.  Natcha brought her into the dining room after dinner so we could all hang out.  Daku had a cautious good time.  He would get close, but as soon as she reached for him he would move away.  He still remembers having his fur pulled.  As she gets older, Neetchanon will learn to pet him.  They’re still fun to watch.

Have a Great Week.

                   Peace,
                             Danny
