Respect

Hi,

The weather on Monday was what we expected when we landed last week.  I'm glad it finally showed up.  Blue skies and sunshine.  Yea!

Now I know that a lot of you know this song.  Let me know that you know this 'Easy Monday' tune.  "I've got so much honey, the bees envy me.  I've got a sweeter sound, than the birds in the trees.  Well, I guess you'd say, what can make me feel this way?  __ __, talkin' 'bout __ __ (__ __)."  Clue:  I was so tempted to give you a clue, but that would give it away.

Our first trip on the famous 405 freeway was a piece of cake.  We started after the morning 'rush' and it went smoothly.  Traveling north on the 101 was interesting.  The traffic came to almost a stop, but then just opened up as if nothing had happened.  Weird, but then we've been away for awhile, and I forgot that this is normal.  Hmm.  When we arrived at the ranch we saw some beautiful horses and giant oak trees.  There was a lot of activity in preparation for a wedding this weekend.  We hung out in Blue's house for a bit, and then drove up to a little mom and pop Thai restaurant.  Back at the ranch we walked around the grounds, and Blue told us about some of the horses and their personalities.  By this time the temperature was rising and it was very hot.  Without the usual humidity that we're used to it really felt different.

Today's photo is the arch where the wedding ceremony will be held.  It's a wonderful backdrop for a special occasion.

Back in the city we went to a second Ross and found what we were looking for.  We updated our 'tech bag' for carrying the laptops and other gear.  A little four-wheeled 'spinner' will be perfect for navigating around the airports on the way home.

In Thailand we have watermelons that are small and round.  We were quite impressed with the size of the melons on our stop at Whole Foods.  They were huge compared to what we buy.  We took a photo to show Boot.  She'll get a kick out of that.

This evening Lisa and August started making a new board game.  They have grown tired of playing the same games so now they will have their very own creation to play.  I think it's going to be a winner.

Have a Happy Tuesday.

                         Peace,
                                    Danny
