Dreaming

Hi,

We stayed inside as much as possible over the weekend. Hot and smokey was the weather most of the time. A big wind on Sunday night helped a bit, but our air still needs washing.

The 'Old School Friday' song was "He Will Break Your Heart" by Jerry Butler. Now it's time for a very 'Easy Monday' tune: "__ __ __ __ to live, white lace and promises, a kiss for luck and we're on our way. __ __ __ __" Hint: I don't think this one needs any hints, you all know it.

Saturday we hung around the house, ran a few errands and hung around the house. We watched a bunch of TV, talked to the dogs, and just lazed about.

Sunday morning we went to Makro for veggies for our drink. Our lunch plan was to go to Big C for a great lunch at S&P. When we got close to Big C we realized it was Sunday and that was why there was such a line of traffic. Hmm, we stayed in line, found a parking place only to discover that S&P was no longer serving meals. They have a restaurant in Central Plaza so the Big C location is just pastries. We had some shopping to do but decided to do it at night. We went home and Lisa made her yummy tuna salad and we had a picnic lunch.

In the afternoon we met with Jaffee at Chivit Thamma Da for coffee and a meeting on the next step with the Chiang Mai exhibit. We sat by the river and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and got a chance to visit with the owner. She offered to put a poster for Lisa's exhibit in the window.

Sunday evening was better on every level. We went to the Night Bazaar for dinner and then strolled around a bit. The topic of the evening was the bad air. From there we went back to Big C to do a little shopping. We saw our friend Jen on one side of the store, and later, in another section, had a conversation with our friend Khun Plah, who works with The Sold Project. She had just finished a project with 30 doctors who did a tour of Hill Tribe villages in Thailand and Laos, treating people who normally don't get medical attention.

Today we managed to stay at home for almost the whole day. Our only excursion was to deliver a poster to Chivit Thamma Da. This evening our friends Chalit and Amber came over for dinner. Boot made a delicious meal and we had fun talking with them about various topics. Chalit just finished photographing the players on Chiang Rai United. Amber is in the midst of planning portions of a big one-day show that will be at Le Meridien at the end of the month. Lisa will be showing her large cast acrylic print about Chiang Rai.

Have a Great Week.

Peace,
Danny
