Hi,

Today was a good day. The air is still the same, but it doesn't stop the show. I had my weekly massage torture, and more new paint is on the bridge, and the pool is looking brilliant.

The 'Easy Monday' song was "We've Only Just Begun" by The Carpenters. Here's a 'Wild Card' you're sure to know:
"__ __ __ __ is in your eyes, the look your heart can't disguise. __ __ __ __ is saying so much more than just words could ever say and what my heart has heard, well it takes my breath away..." Hint: Sometimes a glance is more than a glance, a stare is not a stare, a gaze.... This hit was first sung by a female singer from across the pond.

This morning on my way to see Khun Joy for my massage, I passed a parade of five pick-up trucks. Each truck had a pair of speakers mounted on the back and they faced front and rear. They were all playing the recorded advertising message that they were commissioned to play, but all that could be heard was a cacophony of blatant commercialism. What happened to my calm morning drive? One truck by itself is a little hard to take, but five together is overkill. I wonder what the clients would think if they knew what had happened. Hmm.

I spent one and one half hours with Joy and I kept telling myself, "This will feel better when it's over". Many tight muscles, clogged points of energy, etc. makes for a painful massage session. She is very intuitive and makes connections from one thing to another. Today I was able to explain why my legs were tight as a result of riding the stationary bicycle. We've started working out again and this is the price I pay. Years ago, before Thailand, I'd work out but never had a massage. I just didn't know what was really going on I guess.

While I was gone the pool guys came to the house. It's the first time they've cleaned the pool since the work has been done. The water goes over the edge, into a channel, and basically keeps the surface clean all the time. Their biggest job this morning was cleaning the ashes off of the bottom. When they left, it looked like brand new. Now, a few more degrees warmer, some cleaner air and I'll put on the wetsuit and go for a swim.

The pink on the bridge is progressing rapidly. They did most of the second side today. Now they have to go back and to the blue paint on the vertical bars. I promise to show you what it looks like when it's done.

Tomorrow we'll probably go out for supplies. I'm looking forward to going into town since a lot can change in a few days, not to mention checking up on the construction around town. It's none of my business, but I like to see what's evolving in the town that's rapidly becoming a city.

Time for Wacky Wednesday.

Peace,
Danny

this alone is worth the struggle. We are here to add what we can to,
not to get what we can from, life."
