Friday Funnies

Hi,

Today began earlier that expected, we made stops on hardware street, and I solved a watering problem. Tomorrow we go to the dentist, and the Olympics are almost over.

The song you may have been singing over the last few days was "You Keep Me Hanging On" by The Supremes. Now it's time for 'Old School Friday'. Who knows this song? "__ just a little bit longer. Please, please, please, please, tella me you're gonna. Now your daddy don't mind, and your mommy don't mind, if we have another dance, yeah just one more (one more time) Oh, won't you __ just a little bit longer..." Hint: It's had many covers, but the original was by a singer with a group whose name is in the stars. Words like linger come to mind for that one blank spot, but that's not it.

This morning Daku started stirring around 5am. Over and over we chanted 'Go lie down', but still he paced. From one side of the bed to the other, he was "annoying" dog. We discovered later that Boot couldn't sleep so she had gotten up and started cleaning and Daku heard her. In the future, she will come upstairs and let him out so we can go back to sleep.

Bus Station Street is also 'Hardware Street' a little farther to the east. Today we went by Sahapaiboon so Lisa could talk to our friend Jaa about a painting. While she was doing that I went across the street looking for a connector to attach my new sprinkler to the hose. 'Mai Me' (no have). We stopped at the next store with the same result. Finally, at the last stop it dawned on me that I could make what I needed out of fittings and a piece of hose. The handyman is in the house. I put it together later and it's going to work.

Tomorrow we have our first dentist appointments at Dr. Nan's new clinic, 'New Smile'. We're going in for cleaning and I think I'll take the camera and get some shots of the most beautiful dentist office we've ever seen.

The Olympics are winding down, but for us they're just getting started. We have tons of events to watch and I've been avoiding the news so I don't know the outcome of various events. Since we usually watch in the evening, late, this should go on for quite some time.

Time to dip into the archives for the 'Funnies'. Have a Wild and Wonderful WeekEnd.

Peace,
Danny
