Experience

Hi,

For some of you this may seem late. We had friends over for dinner and the conversation was great. Earlier today we had lunch out, Daku saw the vet, and Lisa got art supplies for a project with some kids.

I only had one response to this one. Either it's too easy or you just don't remember. Hmm, this might help:
"And love, love is just a passing word. It's the thought you had in a taxi cab that got left on the curb, when he dropped you off at east 83rd. Oh-oh-oh, you're a __ __ __, you should know the score by now you're a __ __ __."
Hint: Not sure there's any room left for a hint. You should know by now. (Ha)

This morning we went to the art supply store to get some oil pastels and colored pencils for the little project Lisa is going to be doing at Sahapaiboon on March 6. About ten kids will be drawing pictures and getting some tips from our resident artist. While browsing through the store, we also ran across the usual soccer balls, weights and conga drums.

Daku was due for another vaccination so he got to ride in the car today. He took to the whole thing much differently than the last time he rode. Instead of lying on the floor, he sat on the seat and stuck his head out of the window, big dog style. He was a handful in the lobby, trying to make friends with two little dogs across the room. After his injection we put him on the scale and he weighs 76.5 lbs.

We had lunch at Black Canyon since Boot was preparing food for the dinner party this evening. We had our favorite lunches and went up to the eye store. I got my glasses adjusted and they're almost right. Hmm.

This evening we had Nate, Rachel, and Rachel's father Jeff over for dinner. Rachel is co-director of the Sold Project here in Thailand http://www.thesoldproject.org/. I've written about them before. You can go to their website and maybe even become a sponsor. They still have 90 kids waiting to go to school.

We hung out on the back patio while the sun was still out, and the dogs got acquainted with everyone. BamBam takes a few minutes to calm down. She barks like crazy until she realizes there's no danger. Daku just comes on like a train, although he is getting better with his 'social skills'. Boot cooked one of her amazing, delicious dinners which included a chicken dish of her creation, tom yum goong, and a vegetable plate. Oh yes, there was watermelon and pineapple for dessert. We had a great time sharing experiences living in Thailand, and our revelations on the culture.

Many businesses are just beginning to reopen after all of the days of celebration of the Chinese New Year. We didn't realize that it went for a week and a half. That explains some of the fireworks over the weekend, and the singing across the river.

Have a Happy Tuesday.

Peace,
Danny
