Speed

Hi,

Last night we had a big storm.  Lots of wind and rain in the middle of the night.  Today has been light rain almost all day.  Oh well.

Assuming you all got yesterday’s message, I’m surprised there were so few responses to the ‘Zany Day’ song. Hmm:
“Measles make you bumpy, and mumps’ll make you lumpy, and chicken pox’ll make you jump and twitch.  A common cold’ll fool ya, and whooping cough’ll cool ya, but __ __, Lord’ll make you itch!  You’re gonna need an ocean of calamine lotion.  You’ll be scratchin’ like a hound, the minute you start to mess around.  __ __, __ __, late at night when you’re sleepin’ __ __ comes a-creepin’ around..”  Clue:  There’s a plant involved.  There, I’ve said too much.

It looks like my stormy time with Google is over.  They say I exceeded my ‘limit’ on the number of emails one can send in 24 hours.  Please!  I waited them out, though I think they went longer than the 24 hour punishment, and now I can send again.  What has it come to when the big joy in a day is the ability to send email?  Just sayin’.

The big news at The Big Brown House is that Cat is home from America.  She’s been gone for a month, and for the most part she’s been hearing and speaking nothing but English.  We immediately noticed a difference on the way home.  It will take a few days for her to decompress.  She has so many stories to tell, so many life lessons she’s learned, and as she put it, so many things she didn’t realize.  So far we’ve briefly talked about homelessness, racism, and the work of The Freedom Story.  Except for a ‘nap’, she said she stayed awake for the whole trip to Thailand.  Hmm, I wonder what time she’ll wake up tomorrow?

When we got to Chiang Rai International Airport (CEI) there were many new things to see.  The most notable are the two giant, four-sided screens that display everything from animated flowers and birds to previews of movies at the mall.  There is a little kiosk where you can take a photo that gets posted at the base of the big screen.  We took one while we waited for Cat’s plane, and then another with her after she landed.

Have a Thrilling Thursday.

                Peace,
                          Danny
