Passion

Hi,

Chiang Rai had a forecast of 99F and I think we reached that.  Even when the afternoon cloud cover arrived, the air remained heavy.

The ‘Easy Monday’ song turns out to be a favorite for a lot of you.  “Mistakes, I know I’ve made a few, but I’m only human, you’ve made mistakes too, I’m crying.  __ __, __.  __ __, __.”  Clue:  Oooh, it’s gettin’ smokey in here.

It’s nest-building time around The Big Brown House.  Over the years we have attracted a lot of birds.  Some have been here for a long time.  There is a couple who make their home on the eastern part of the roof, behind the air/con unit for Lisa’s studio.  Today we noticed them preparing their nest.  On the front part of the roof, at one of the peaks, there was a disagreement as to who was there first and a little fly-by ensued.  Most of the little birds are building their nests under the tile shingles or in the dense trees.  Either way, it’s a jungle out there.

The other day we had a fly-by of another kind.  Two fighter jets flew over, very close and then disappeared.  I have no idea where they came from or where they were going, but it was impressive.  There are no conflicts in the neighborhood, other than the birds, so it was probably just training.   Hmm.

Sometimes there will be a notification sound from one of our phones and we’re not sure what program sent it.  Email is becoming obsolete in these parts.  Things like ‘Line’, Messenger and SMS are more widely used.  I guess I’m still ‘Old School’ when it comes to communication.  I think I prefer email or that ancient device, the telephone.  What?

Today’s photo was taken over the weekend while we were looking at pots and statues.  I wonder what they serve?

Yesterday Natcha reminded us that May 1 was the 2 year anniversary since she came to work for us.  A lot has happened in that time and it we are all filled with a mutual sense of gratitude for the help and friendship.

The big news today was the arrival of more dirt.  This time it’s for the lot one farm behind us.  It takes up two farm plots and means we won’t have our veggie background.  The city is coming, the city is coming.  Or maybe these are the suburbs (555).  At any rate, we now have three plots of land that are ready for building.  As long as they are homes we’re happy.

Have a Happy Tuesday.

                   Peace,
                             Danny
