Friday Funnies

Hi,

We had rain again today in Chiang Rai.  In fact, the next five days are supposed to have rain and 85-90F temperatures.  We’ll see.

The ‘Zany Day’ song was “Subterranean Homesick Blues” by Bob Dylan.  Time for another ‘Old School Friday’ tune.
“__ __, my love has come along.  My lonely days are over, and life is like a song.  __ __, the skies above are blue, my heart was wrapped up in clover the night I looked at you.”  Hint:  This ballad from 1961 became the signature song for a very powerful woman of the blues.

The sky looked a lot like rain when we exercised Daku.  Our hope was that the rain would wait until we finished moving the artwork from The Factory to the house.  With Gong’s help, we packed up the show and had it home in less than an hour.  A few minutes after our return the rain started.  It was heavy at times and everything got a good soaking.

It was very quiet on our road today.  No dump trucks or tractors.  The big project across the road looks like it might be four major parcels.  At this point, we’re just happy that phase is over and we can return to how it was.  The road itself is still busy with traffic at certain times, but there is an ebb and flow that we’re used to.

Yesterday Lisa had lunch with our friend Sutheera.  We learned that the Chiang Rai Bangkok Hospital is being built north of town, just south of Maefarluang University.  That’s very good news.  Having been in their care on two occasions last year, they are tops in my book.  There is a whole ‘corridor’ of construction north of town on the Super Highway that will change the overall perception of Chiang Rai.

Tomorrow morning we’re going to Cat’s university to see her newly decorated ‘dorm room’.  Her room-mate has not returned to school yet, so Cat has been enjoying a larger place lately.

Today’s photo was taken on a path at The Wanderer.  Sometimes you just have to look at the ground.

Have a Wonderful WeekEnd.       It’s time for the ‘Funnies’.     Formula One is in Spain this week.  Zoom.

                   Peace,
                             Danny
