Friday Funnies

Hi,

It didn’t rain today and that made us happy.  It was pretty cloudy this morning so we postponed Daku’s bath.  This made him very unhappy (555).  It warmed up, but not too hot.

The ‘Zany Day’ song was “Summertime Blues” by Eddie Cochran.  ‘Old School Friday’ is an exercise in geography.
“All aboard, for the __ __.  Miami, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; Raleigh, North Carolina…. And don’t forget New Orleans…”  Clue:  It’s not the only song with this title, but this version was done by The Godfather of Soul.

We went to the bank this morning and got a welcome surprise.  There was basically no waiting.  For a Friday morning it seemed unusual.  There were familiar faces with big smiles of recognition and before we knew it, we were done.  On Bus Station Street we did notice a higher volume of traffic than in the past.

While visiting at Work@Home we witnessed a beautiful gesture by our friend Katai.  There was an accident across the street from the shop, and an older woman was knocked off of her motorbike.  Katai raced out to talk to her about any injuries and prevented the driver and others from trying to make her stand.  Katai stayed with her for a long time.  Finally an ambulance arrived.  She told us that there are lots of accidents at this intersection and they keep a first aid kit handy.  The mechanic at the Honda dealership next door also helps out.  We were all moved by the fact that this woman lives alone with her dog and had no one to call.  The other vehicle was a pick-up truck so the police had the driver take the woman’s motorbike to the police station.  Very interesting.

Schools are back in session and that means more traffic at certain times.  Fortunately, we’re usually not out there when the school traffic is at it’s height.  I just remembered that at Cat’s school there were over 2,000 students.  If that is multiplied by at least 5, well, you get the idea.

Our friend Sandy and her daughter Dylan came over with bags of clothes Dylan had outgrown.  Natcha was very grateful and Neetchanon fell in love with a bag full of socks that she dragged around the living room.

Today’s photo was a moment Lisa captured as Neetchanon was coming out from behind the couch.

Have a Wonderful WeekEnd.        Time for the ‘Funnies’.

              Peace,
                        Danny
