Friday Funnies

Hi,

There were cloudy 'hints' in the sky today.  It never looked like rain, but that's how it starts.  As long as we have a dry Sunday this will be a happy household.

As a lot of you know, the 'Zany Day' song was "Tutti Fruitti" by Little Richard.  That was pretty Old School, but it wasn't Friday.  We still have 'Old School Friday' to play with and this one is weather appropriate.  Sing along:
"Whenever I'm with him something inside starts to burnin', and I'm filled with desire.  Could it be the devil in me, or is this the way love's supposed to be?  Just like a __, burnin' in my heart.  Can't keep from cryin', it's tearin' me apart..."  Hint:  I'm not sure that quicksand is the proper cure for the title of this song, but at least it would be cooler.

This morning we got happy news as soon as we went downstairs.  Boot and Rudi are getting married on November 18. Obviously, there will have to be a party, but no specific plans have been made so far.  They plan to find a small house nearby, and Boot will still take care of us.

Another bit of happy news came this afternoon.  While we were napping, the water unit was replaced and clean water is now available from the special tap.  Boot had already filled some glass pitchers and a new era has begun.

When Cat first came to live with us, one of her goals was to see places she had never seen in Chiang Rai.  So far, she has seen some of them and had many new experiences.  For her birthday, she thought very carefully and came to us with a plan.  We are going on a little tour beginning with Baan Dam, the art installation of the late Tawan Duchanee, who is a National Artist.  Then we will visit Rai Mae Fahluang, a park/museum that serves as a gallery and also has a permanent History of Teak Wood exhibit.  We will have lunch at the mall and then drive out to Boon Rawd Farm, where we will visit the Zebras and Giraffes.  There is a beautiful new restaurant that will be our dinner location.  She is bringing her friend Oom along to share the day and have a peer to talk to.

Today's photo is one Blue took a few years ago.  This house was vacant in the business district for a long time, and then it was taken apart. There is something magical about the way the vines have engulfed the structure.

Have a Wonderful WeekEnd.         Hang on for the 'Funnies'.   This Sunday, Formula One from Russia.  Zoom.

                 Peace,
                           Danny
