Appreciation

Hi,

We had another gorgeous day in Chiang Rai.  The mornings are cold, but it warms up pretty quickly.  There was a very productive morning that emphasized the small town connections.

Our 'Easy Monday' song was "It's Too Late" by Carole King.  Most of you knew that.  On to 'Zany Day' stuff.
"Jojo was a man who thought he was a loner, but he knew it wouldn't last.  Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona for some California grass.  __ __, __ __, __ __ to where you once belonged..."  The title is a two word command, or strong suggestion relating possibly to retreat.  Hmm.

After the morning doggie exercise routine we went into town.  There was no parking at the Talat so we drove to the flower market to get an arrangement for the Work@Home family, as a remembrance of Jonathan.  When we pulled into the lot behind the coffee shop, Khun Katai was going into her house in the rear.  She saw us and came out, eyes filled with tears.  It was one of those moments when words just don't say enough.  We gave her the flowers and she wanted to put them on the grave of Jonathan's brother.  He will be buried there too.  Jonathan had a following of friends from all over the world.  Today's photo was taken by Blue.  It's our friend doing his job as resident greeter.

Back in the market district, we found a place to park and went to what we thought was a carpet store.  We were at the right store, but now it's mostly drapes.  They did have some indoor/outdoor that was just what we wanted for the back of the van when the dogs go riding.  While it was being cut to size I noticed what looked like strips of wood laminate flooring.  The owner explained that it was made from PVC and would not be affected by water like the type we have. She then invited us to her home behind the store, to see a partial installation.  I was very excited to know that there is an alternative flooring solution.  When Lisa gave her a business card the woman remembered her from 9 Art Gallery.  Then she recalled that they had them install carpet on our stairs.  It was like a reunion.  Then we went into the market and got some treats from our friend and our morning was complete.

This afternoon we tried a new way for Daku to enter the van and it worked.  Both dogs jumped in and were ready for a ride.  They seemed very disappointed when they had to get out.  Maybe tomorrow we'll go cruising.

It's time for Wacky Wednesday.

               Peace,
                         Danny

It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well."
