Integrity

Hi,

Most of today was typical Chiang Rai weather, then it changed.  A major thunderstorm in the late afternoon rattled the house and the dogs.  We made an evening run to Big C and Doi Chaang to round out the day.

It would appear that 'Easy Monday' was just that.  Lots of responses from the usual suspects.  If you're looking for the answer, it's probably in these lines:  "You just call out my name, and you know where ever I am.... an I'll be there, yeah, yeah __ __ __ __."  Hint:  You don't need a hint.  You know.

Yesterday when I took Daku outside, the air was filled with the sound of chanting monks followed by a familiar Buddhist song.  We were hearing the beginning of Vishkha Bucha/Vesak Day which celebrates the birth, enlightenment and entry into Nirvana of the Buddha.  It is the holiest of Buddhist holidays.

Most of today was sunny and hot.  After lunch we retreated to our upstairs hideaway with the air/con, watched a little tennis and took a nap.  Even though we're getting out and about, we are still in 'transition'.  With the heavy, humid, hot air it just adds to the fun.

We went swimming a little earlier than usual due to the bank of clouds in the distance out west.  The winds blow from west to east so it was just a matter of time before those clouds would be overhead.  Our decision was right because just as we got out of the pool, the wind got heavy and then the thunder came.  BamBam came upstairs for shelter and Daku hung out in the kitchen, unphased by it all.  Not long after the first round of rain and noise there was a thunder clap right over the house that felt like the place was splitting in half.  That got Daku's attention and BamBam decided that maybe I was not enough protection.  She found a place in the bathroom to hide.  By dinner time there was just a light drizzle and the wind was gone.

This evening we went to Big C.  We usually shop there in the morning, and it felt a little different.  People shopping for dinner ingredients, looking like they just came from work.  We got there not long after the rain stopped and I suspect there were those who came out because it wasn't raining.  A product caught my eye that I may have to try, someday:  Minute Maid 'Pulpy'.  It's orange/mango juice with pulp, of course.  The name cracked me up and I just had to share.

Saturday, when we went to Central Plaza there was a giant celebration of Doraemon, the cartoon character.  I leave you with a photo that speaks volumes.  (555)

Have a Happy Tuesday.

           Peace,
