Nothing

Hi,

It turned out to be a not so Wacky Wednesday. The sky was blue, the air was crisp, and we didn't have to chase all over town. We did do lunch with an old friend of Lisa's, and we stopped by the mall.

The 'Summer of Love' brought us many different kinds of music. Thanks for sharing your various memories of this one. If you still haven't figured it out, read on: "I don't care how much money I gotta spend, got to get back to my baby again. Lonely days are gone, I'm a-goin' home 'cause my baby just...." Clue: You can tell it's an old song because the item in the title is not a common thing anymore. It's something that has been replaced by email. The title is two words.

It was a luxury to sleep in this morning. We didn't have to be anyplace until lunch time. After a few stops in Culver City we went out to Santa Monica for lunch with our friend McKinley. He and Lisa were childhood friends in Montana. We met him at The Fig in the Fairmont Hotel, and had a very nice lunch looking out on the pool. There was a man who was relaxing by the pool in just his bathing suit. We imagined he must be from a very cold place. (Ha)

After lunch we went to Trader Joe's. Still waiting for them to open a store in Chiang Rai (555). Yeah, that'll happen. From there we made a brief stop at the 'Fox Hills Mall' for some See's candy to take back to Boot. The chocolate in Thailand is nothing like See's. Yum. Just wish I could still eat it.

We had dinner at the house with August. His folks went to a birthday party so we spent the evening with him. He showed us a video of a short play he wrote with the help of a mentor as part of a writing project. After he had written it, twelve actors used his script and acted it out. Mr. August continues to add more talents to his resume. Later I helped him with a school project dealing with the stock market and Lisa worked with him on an essay. It reminded me of the days when each boy spent an evening with us years ago.

Have a Thrilling Thursday. I leave you with one of your favorites from Will.

Peace,
Danny
