Friday Funnies

Hi,

Once more, a beautiful day in Chiang Rai. The major events of the day included a new printer, and the email version of the gallery invitation to Lisa's exhibit. And the music plays on, and on...

The 'Summer of Love' song was "I Was Made To Love Her" by Stevie Wonder. He dropped the 'Little' around '64. Time now for a trip down the real memory lane, to 'Old School Friday'. Who could forget this classic from the 50s?
"You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain, too much love drives a man insane. You broke my will, oh what a thrill. Goodness gracious __ __ __ __." Clue: There's a lot of heat in the title. The singer reportedly took family affair to great heights. He could really rock the house.

The life expectancy of certain devices is about 3 or 4 years. When things start to go bad, you are left with little recourse but to buy the next generation. So it was with our printer. It would actually cost more to have it cleaned and aligned, than to buy a new one. The weird part is, the new one uses ink that costs less than half the price of the old one. Hmm. I finally got the thing working and it's faster and simpler. The real test will be how it prints the galaxies as seen by the Hubble camera. Our artist in residence will put it to the test.

I went by Bliss photo studio to pick up some prints that Chalit made for Lisa. His mom was there and gave me one of her miniature flower arrangements to give to Lisa. It's those little things that keep us smiling.

This afternoon we got the email invite from 9 Art Gallery. There are pictures of some of Lisa's work plus Thai and English translations of the show concept. We'll take the final pieces to the framer next week, and he'll deliver all the work to the gallery on the day before the show. If you'd like to see the invitation, just drop me a line.

We found out that all the celebrations that are happening around town are warm-ups to the Chinese New Year on February 5th. I'm wondering what will happen on that day.

Have a Wonderful WeekEnd. It's time for the 'Funnies'.

Peace,
Danny

Poker Face

A man walked by a table in a hotel and noticed three men and a dog
playing cards. The dog was playing with extraordinary performance.

"That is a very smart dog," the man commented.

"Not so smart, he has a tell," said one of the players. "Every time he
gets a good hand he wags his tail."
