Joy

Hi,
This morning we woke up to a hazy, almost foggy sky. We thought it might rain, but it burned off very quickly and turned into a very hot day. The pool guys arrived around 9am and cleaned the very clean pool. What a contrast to the way things had been. BamBam went on a barking binge, acting like she'd never seen them before. She finally calmed down and decided to just watch them. The odd thing is, she never barks at their boss, Johan. They bonded early and he's her friend. Hmm.
You came out of the woodwork, finally. Got lots of mail telling me the song was "Paperback Writer" by The Beatles. Next?
"Every time I think I've had enough and start heading for the door, there's a very strange vibration piercing me right to the core. It says "Turn around you fool..." Clues: Big hit by a family group and then a disco queen. Something about not being able to let go.
The truck sat in the carport all day. We stayed in and stayed cool. We're finding lots of things to do here on the compound. There's a bit of a routine evolving as well. For instance, on most days, we end up answering mail and making calls in the morning, and swimming in the late afternoon. If it doesn't rain, Lisa and Boot water the trees and BamBam runs around like crazy. In between, there are art projects and house things to attend to. Oh, and then there's the relaxing.
Here's something interesting: November begins what is called 'winter' and that is the season when BBQs go on sale. That's because it will finally be cool enough to cook over coals (or wood). Most people cook outside all the time, but it's with a gas burner. In the West, we think of BBQ and summer. Hmm.
Well, it's time to have a Wacky Wednesday.

Peace,
Danny
