Observe

Hi,
We're back in the Land of Smiles. Sorry you missed the Friday Funnies but I was stuck in the Twilight Zone. I'll tell you about that after a brief musical interlude.
That last song we dealt with was "Too Hot" by Kool and the Gang. I'm so glad so many of you remembered. Today, try this one:
"There is a long hair that doesn't like the short hair For bein' such a rich one that will not help the poor one..." Hint: This is a song by a Bay Area group who were trying to get us to all get along. Hmm.
So, we got the rental car back on time, hit the airport and had short lines through all the scrutiny. So far so good. We were supposed to leave at 5:30pm and it looked like that would happen. Then we just sat on the runway. We didn't leave until 6:15. Waiting for a connecting flight from somewhere created a shift in the space/time continuum. On our flight to Taipei I noticed a perfectly straight line in the clouds. It was like a motorcycle had driven across some snow. Very strange. So strange I took a picture of it. Anyway, it's very disorienting when you chase the sun. We had daylight for much longer than the senses can stand.
By the time we arrived in Taipei, we barely had time to go through security and board our connecting flight to Bangkok. We finally arrived in Thailand at 1:30 in the morning, and checked into our hotel at 3 o'clock. I think we had a new 'worst room ever' contender. First of all, there were no windows, then there was the matter of the bathroom. Actually it's a misnomer since there was no bathtub. Not much worked well but we managed to get a little sleep. Oh, I didn't mention that it's now Saturday morning. We got back to the airport and had an uneventful trip to Chiang Rai.
Blue and Ming met us at the airport, which was a really nice end to the journey. It's good to be back. When we got to the house, Boot and Bam-Bam were waiting for us. Bam is a lot bigger and was very happy to see us.
We're getting back in the groove, trying to get our body clocks in sync with 'real time' and preparing for our first annual visa renewal. There is a theory among some behavioral scientists, that a habit is established in 21 days. We were gone for a little more than that and I can tell you that I got in the habit of driving L.A. style. The most obvious manifestation of this is the repeated turning on of the windshield wipers. (remember when I first started driving here?) It will be a few more days until I normalize. (Ha).
That's all for now. Have a Wonderful Week.

Peace,
Danny
