Friday Funnies

Hi,
We had a very beautiful day here today. The sky was bright blue, with distant clouds. It started off coolish (it's a word) and then got hot. It was pretty laid back around here. Blue went on an adventure of his own. He went on a trek to deliver some photos he had taken of a Hill Tribe. They were quite pleased with their pictures and many wanted him to take more.
I can add Linda to the short list of those who got the song. Lane sent this: "Stranded In The Jungle" was written by Ernestine Smith & James Johnson in 1956; the same year this R&B novelty classic was a huge hit for the West Coast vocal group The Cadets. The Cadets version of the song was actually a cover of the Jay Hawks original version, although much more polished and energized." Now you know.
For the weekend, consider this: "__ __ __ __ __. the rain is gone. I can see all obstacles in my way..." Hint: Read the 'Funnies' below and you get some clear answers.
So, this is a little late because my dog ate my homework. (Ha) Actually, we were down at the Night Bazaar. When we got home, there was the unwinding, snacking and yes, there's a basketball game on the TV, in Thai. It's the US vs Argentina and it's a little lopsided. And still, I watch. This afternoon we saw some Equestrian show jumping, and some Rhythmic Gymnastics. That was very cool. Oh, and there were two Thai boxers in semi-final bouts. There is great joy in LOS tonight, they both won.
We got a new pool guy today. His name is Johan, he builds pools, he's from Holland but speaks English, and he's lived here for three years. He's going to redo the mechanical aspect of our pool and make it right. In about three weeks, we'll be swimming again.
Since we play with old songs every day, I thought you might like this list that my friend Lee sent me. If you've seen it, laugh again.
Have a Great WeekEnd,

Peace,
Danny
