Forgive

Hi,

This is one wet rainy season.  They all are, but this is ridiculous.  We woke up to a soggy yard again today.  It gets better, the water drains, and then it rains again.  This afternoon it was off and on for about 3 hours.  When it was on, it was on.

The ‘Easy Monday’ song was “Got To Get You Into My Life” by The Beatles.  This week’s ‘Zany Day’ tune is from the land of ‘Eh’ and ‘Oout’, by a band that was known by their initials for their fans.  “You get up every morning from your ‘larm clock’s warning, take the 8:15 into the city.  There’s a whistle up above and people pushin’, people shovin’ and the girls who try to look pretty.  And if your train’s on time you can get to work by nine, and start your slaving job to get your pay.  If you ever get annoyed, look at me I’m self-employed.  I love to work at nothing all day.  And I’ll be __ __ __ __ (every day)….”  Hint: The implies getting things done.

This morning we met our friend John for coffee at The Wanderer.  We haven’t seen him in weeks.  He and his wife Aey went to Europe to see many things.  To say that we laughed a lot would be an understatement.  In addition to travel stories, we discovered that we have some similar aches and pains, which is always comforting (555).

Neechanon has had a cold this week and it’s being difficult for her.  When you’re 2 years old and your nose is stopped up and your face hurts, it’s sometimes hard to be civil.  If things don’t go the way she wants (as if she really knows) she goes into a melt-down.  As soon as she’s offered an alternative thought, she comes right out of it.  It’s fascinating, in a way.  I went up to our bedroom and Natcha and Neechanon were just leaving.  Neechanon wanted to stay.  When she couldn’t, she had a fit.  A little later she and Lisa came up and she was all happy and smiles.

This afternoon an ambulance was coming down the street with its lights flashing and I could hear the siren.  Just as it passed, I heard the familiar sound of an ‘old school’ siren, the kind that winds up from a low growl.  That was a real blast from the past.  Reminded me of the old movies made in the 40s and 50s.

Today’s photo was taken on our way home from Chiang Mai last week.  At our mid-way coffee stop  I spotted this display for Crocodile Oil.  There was a very long list of claims for what it can do.  We didn’t buy any this time (555).

Yes, it’s a Wacky Wednesday.

                    Peace,
                              Danny
