Things

Hi,
It appears that the forecast for rain was wishful thinking. We had another beautiful, clear day here in Chiang Rai. We spent the day at home, received a new cooking device and got invited to the opera.
Looks like the second day clue got you all on board. "Summer Breeze" by Seals and Crofts sprang into your minds and we're all feeling rather happy. That means I am obligated to try and throw you a curve on this next one. I know you know this one.
"Your lights are on, but you're not home, your mind is not your own. Your heart sweats, your body shakes, another kiss is what it takes..." Clues: The late singer had trade-mark videos, had a dapper wardrobe and the subject of the song could use rehab.
This morning, as with every Wednesday, the pool guys came and did their thing. Johan dropped by to look over the pool and pick up a frozen pump. In the course of conversation he mentioned that a new hotel in town is presenting an evening of dinner and opera. So, next Friday we're going to the Meridian Hotel with our friends Jane, Ruud and Johan for a little La Boheme.
This afternoon we got a surprise visit from Tay. We mentioned to her yesterday that we were looking for a BBQ. Today she brought a small one over on her motorbike. It's actually more like an hibachi, but it could work for something. We'll keep looking for a real BBQ.
Some of you responded to my request for phone numbers but most of you didn't. What's up with that? Are you really out there? (555) I'd also like to know if any of you in SoCal have been affected by the fires. So, now you have a reason to write.
Have a Wacky Wednesday.

Peace,
Danny
