Gratitude

Hi,
Let me take this opportunity to extend a Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it. Be thankful that you can, if you chose, have a fresh turkey dinner with all the trimmings. We started to go out to one of the restaurants that caters to Westerners but decided to stick to what we know. The last time we had a turkey dinner here it was pressed and processed. Guess we'll just have to wait until we travel across the water.
Boy, a lot of you knew the song on the first day. Here's a part of it that can stick in your head. This may help some to get it.
"And I think it's gonna be a long, long time Till touch down brings me round again to find I'm not the man they think I am at home Oh, no, no, no I'm a __ __ , __ __ burning out his fuse up here alone." Hint: There are some people doing this job as you read. Imagine eating all you want and not gaining a pound. (5)
This morning BamBam came to our door at a little after seven. She gets up at 6:30 every morning. I got up and let her in and she went back and forth from one side of the bed to the other, getting her morning attention. Then she left. She returned later with a toy, or was it a bone?
We've been paying close attention to the airport issue in Bangkok since our friends Cynthia and Lynn are going back there next week. The latest news is that the Provincial Police are going to clear the place for travelers.
After a morning of depressing news we went downtown to send a fax, buy a chair for Boots room, and visit an art gallery I spotted while we were driving. It was a single 'shop house' with the front totally open air. Two artists, a young man and woman, show and sell their paintings. It looked like they work in the back. It was nice to see another way to present art work. They sell to Thais and tourists.
Tomorrow night we're going to a new hotel, Le Meridien, to have dinner and see a presentation of La Boheme. I may write the day's message before we leave, but you can be sure I'll tell you all about it at some point. We're going with Johan, Jane and Ruud, our friends from the Danish community. Now where did I put my top hat and tails?
Have a Good Thursday,

Peace,
Danny

we must never forget that the highest appreciation
is not to utter words, but to live by them."
