Judgment

Hi,

Today we got rain, and we got it twice in the same day.  This morning around 5am it started, with steady, medium rainfall for about an hour.  Then, this afternoon around 4pm it came on like a storm, complete with whipping wind, for an hour.

‘Easy Monday’ was Bill Withers singing “Ain’t No Sunshine”.  The ‘Zany Day’ song is next.  I think it qualifies:
“My friends feel it’s their appointed duty, they keep trying to tell me all you want to do is __ __.  But my answer, yeah, to all that __ __ stuff.  I want to spread the news, that if it feels this good gettin’ __, you just keep on __ __, until you __ __ up, until you __ __ up, until you __ __ up.”  Hint:  The singer is finding pleasure in the pain.

The annual Flower Festival starts right after we leave for the States, and ends just before we return.  There is a smaller flower display in the center of town and we'll get to see that.  We saw the big festival once, back in 2007, when we came to visit before moving here, and it was beautiful.

Having this small-child-like puppy brings with it issues of ‘What to do’.  I’m speaking of babysitters for JaiDee.  Natcha and Gong love him, but there are times when they have things in their lives that we can’t impose on.  We now have an alternate sitter for at least one day during our absence when we go to America.  Fortunately, he’s getting adjusted to hanging out in his outdoor pen, in small increments of time.  He seems to be understanding more of what we need (555) and sometimes cooperating.

This weekend will begin the celebration of Loy Krathong.  The actual day is Monday, but I suspect that things will begin on Friday night.  We will be going to the Jazz Festival at Chivit Thamma Da on Friday and The Legend Resort for the Monday festivities.  That’s when we will place a flower Krathong in the water and ask the river for forgiveness for the things we’ve put in the water.  We don’t actually do that, but it’s the idea of living in harmony with nature.  The Legend has a whole package including a buffet dinner and a Krathong for each guest.

On the road to Chiang Mai when we were going to meet JaiDee for the first time, we stopped for coffee at a place that had these interesting animals in the yard.

Feels Like a Wacky Wednesday

                   Peace,
                             Danny
