Joy

Hi,

This weekend we had rain, but less than predicted.  The air is very hot and humid.  What we need is a little dry wind to balance things out (555).

The ‘Old School Friday’ song was “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)” by Marvin Gaye.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1X8etD5KRDY  We’re going back across the pond for the ‘Easy Monday’ song.
“__ __ __, yeah, yeah, yeah (repeat 2x).  You think you lost your love, well, I saw her yesterday.  It’s you she’s thinking of, and she told me what to say.  She said __ __ __ and you know that can’t be bad.  Yes, __ __ __ and you know you should be glad, ooooh.”  Hint:  Apparently, it’s not over.

Saturday afternoon was spent rearranging artwork, clearing and cleaning in preparation for today’s visit by a videographer from Art Bridge.  The exhibit that opens later this month will have a video consisting of home visits with all of the artists.  Lisa was interviewed and then footage was shot of her working in her studio.  The last bit that they filmed were elements in her life.  There was a shot of us standing outside with Natcha, Gong and Neetchanon, and then the two of us strolling around the grounds.  Can’t wait to see the final version of this ‘collage’.

Sunday morning Tatt arrived from Bangkok.  He brought us a box of fruit with three large pineapples and about six dragon fruits.  When he lived with us during his senior year of high school, he made a lot of friends, and  every time he comes to town they get together and do things.  This trip is no different.  He spent most of Sunday traveling around with his friends, visiting various temples and seeing the sights.  They did the same today, but he’s spending the evening here at the house.  He and Daku had a boisterous reunion and Daku spends most of his time hanging out with Tatt.  Last night he slept in the studio with Tatt.  At one point he got the squeeky ball from the kitchen and woke Tatt up.   At 3:30am Daku smacked Tatt on the arm and that’s when Tatt brought him upstairs to us, which is what Daku wanted.

Sunday afternoon was ‘picture day’ at Art Bridge for the women artists participating in ‘In Her Eyes’.  While they took group and portrait photos for the catalogue, I hung out with our artist friend Yai, whose girlfriend is in the exhibit.  We always have interesting conversations about a range of topics.  Learning from each other is what real communication is all about, and we do that big time.

Today’s photo was taken this morning.  We discovered this little butterfly lying on the ground.  We’ve never seen this kind before.

Have a Great Week.

               Peace,
                         Danny

I awoke and saw that life was
service.  I acted and behold,
service was joy.”
