Go

Hi,

Today we got the car washed, had a photo session, laughed a lot, and said farewell to a friend. Now the house seems quiet.

It appears that a few of you knew our current song. It's not a happy tune, but maybe these lyrics will shake your memory. "There was a young girl whose heart was a frown 'cause she was crippled for life, and she couldn't speak s sound, and she wished and prayed she could stop living....But then s sight she'd never seen made her jump and say 'Look, a golden winged ship is passing my way' and it really didn't have to stop, it just kept on going...And so __ __ __ __ slips into the sea, eventually." Clue: Children sometimes make them at the beach. The singer is no longer with us, but he changed the way guitars are played.

This morning we went to 'Work At Home' for breakfast. Jonathan, an English Golden Retriever, joined us for a bit and then left to visit others. While we ate, we had the dirt from our mountain adventure washed from the car. After breakfast we drove our clean car out to Khun Ghan's house to pick up a couple of waist bags she made for us. They feature an Akha pattern on the pouch and came out very nice. Now Blue and Ming can wear a bit of Thailand around their waists.

After lunch Blue took some 'Family Photos' of us and the dogs. Daku was a pretty good subject, but BamBam was still chewing on a rawhide bone and couldn't be bothered. She would not let it go. We did get some good pictures of her anyway.

When we arrived at the airport, Blue discovered that the plane that was to take him to Bangkok would be late. We had some coffee, talked about the visit, and walked around the airport looking in all the shops. They finally posted a departure time so we said our final goodbyes.

A nap was in order so we did just that. We had scheduled a 3:30 massage downtown, with a catch. Lisa's favorite operator was not working so she would have to take whoever was available. Sometimes there is a lack of sensitivity on the part of the masseuse and it can be too aggressive. That was the case today. We'll wait until Nong is back before booking another session.

Tonight we've been hearing what sounds like thunder, off in the distance. It would be so nice to get a little rain. The air has been 'smoggy', in addition to the fact that we haven't had rain for about three months. Time for the rain dance.

Have a Fantastic Thursday.

Peace,
Danny

Hi, Danny:
I discovered where you guys were--not without considerable effort, to be sure. It would be great to renew contact so that we can catch up with each others' lives. I'm sorry I won't see you at the Muir High 50th reunion, but I'm glad I found you on line. Tell Lisa I didn't know about her acting experience (VERY impressive!). Tell her I am a SAG member; I did tv, films and commercials, as a background actor mostly, for over 5 years in L.A. I get only commercials here in Washington--at least up till now. I'll get into music with you later. Best, Michael Deak
