Safe

Hi,

Today it seemed like everything came to Chiang Rai. There was an afternoon storm, and bugs at night. The time in between was beautiful. One more day and we're off to Bangkok (BKK).

Nice to know that so many of you remembered this song. If you think real hard, I believe you'll get it.
"Love was out to get me, now that's the way it seemed. Disappointment haunted all my dreams. Oh, then I saw her face, now __ __ __ ..." Hint: It's easy to remember the group if you can recall "Hey Hey we're __ __. They also sang about a train.

This morning everything was dry outside. That meant that when the time came for the dogs to go out, they got a good run. It's a good thing because they missed their afternoon romp due to a slamming storm. The day went from partly cloudy skies to high wind and rain. Down by the river, the area that had been the camp ground during Songkran was completely covered with water. The level of the river is up and it looks like the rainy season.

A while back I mentioned the bicycles that have no brakes and have 'direct' drive. I commented on this to our friend Jasper and he told me that they have been outlawed in Denmark. It's no wonder. A bike like that is meant for the circus. (Ha)

Today I saw a guy on a bike, in the rain, and he had a plastic bag on his head. Also spotted was a woman with a small size yard umbrella attached to her bike right behind the seat. Rain or shine, she's protected from the elements. Amazing Thailand.

Next Thursday will mark the 1000th post on the blog site. Some of you have been receiving this daily message for longer than that. Whew.

Have a Thrilling Thursday.

Peace,
Danny
