The Road

Hi,

What would this season be without a little rain? It would be summertime. We had more wet stuff today, but we managed to go to the bank, do some mailing, and catch a sale at Edison department store. It rained for lunch. Oh yeah, those pesky bugs are back.

Hats off to all those who got this one right away. It really is easy if you just hum along. (Ha) Here's more:
"You tell yourself you're not my kind, but you don't even know your mind. And you could have a change of heart.
__, __ __ __ __ you don't wanna call nobody else. Send it off in a letter to yourself. __, __ __ __ __, it's the only one you own. You might use it if you feel better when you get home." Clue: This girl's name could also be a boy's name. The guys who sang this also knew a girl named Peg, and another named Josie.

When I took Daku out this morning after breakfast, he wanted to run around and play but it was sprinkling and he really doesn't like water that he can't control. He made his 'rounds' quickly and headed for the kitchen door. Later, when it was play time, the rain had stopped but he wanted to investigate everything. We did manage to get in some play and then Lisa came out with the new ball and both dogs got some exercise.

Since Monday was Labor Day holiday here, it meant that the bank would probably be crowded this morning so we went early. It was busy, but not too bad. Our friend Bobby was taking care of customers at a rapid pace, but did have time to share with us about his lack of sleep. After the bank we went to Edison to mail a letter. They weren't open so we went into Tops, which is connected to the department store. There is a display for a product called 'Essence of Chicken'. It comes in little jars and it's apparently like concentrated chicken soup. Oh. Next to it was something called 'Bird's Nest Drink'. I don't know what that's about, but I'm going to ask someone.

If you have a dog, you know that they love routines. Our dogs seem to know what time it is, and what's supposed to happen at certain times in the day. This afternoon, when it was time to go out and play, it was raining. BamBam and Daku raced out the door and waited for me to follow. I told them that it was raining and we couldn't play. BamBam seemed to understand and came back to the door. Daku just stood there, thinking about it, and then did the same. I love it when they cooperate.

We checked the weather forecast for Bangkok this weekend and it calls for 93 degrees and thunder showers. I guess we'll be packing umbrellas and light cotton clothes. Time to start figuring out what to wear to the National Gallery for the opening.

Have a Happy Tuesday.

Peace,
Danny
