Limits

Hi,

Another day of deceptive weather.  We woke up to a cold morning.  By mid-morning it was warming up and the sky appeared to be clear blue if you looked straight up.  If you looked to the horizon, you realized it was not really clear at all.

Two readers recognized the ‘Easy Monday’ tune.  This may not be as easy as I thought.  Water from the sky made this song a radio hit every year in San Diego, CA, where the group was from.  “The only girl I care about has gone away, looking for a brand new start.  But little does she know that when she left that day, along with her she took my heart.  Rain, please tell me now does that seem fair, for her to steal my heart away when she don’t care?  I can’t love another when my hearts somewhere far away.”  Clue:  There is an element of weather involved.  Pitter, patter...

This morning we went to Big C for some basic supplies.  We had a few more errands, but decided to get coffee at Central Plaza Mall, across the highway.  As we were approaching the mall we realized that it was open early, and that was because it was a holiday.  They open at 10am on holidays and today was Makha Bucha Day.  Throughout the world of Theravada Buddhism, this day commemorates the first teaching of the Buddha to a gathering of 1,250 disciples.

A stop by Daku’s vet for a thyroid refill completed our morning in the street.  Years ago we learned that BamBam needed thyroid, and then later, Daku.  We recently found out that when some dogs are neutered, it causes a thyroid deficiency.

Natcha, Gong and Nitchanan are going to be gone for a week.  Natcha is going to a wedding of her niece in Myanmar (Burma) and Gong and Nitchanan will visit his family in Mae Sai.  They leave tomorrow, which means that we will be on our own.  For the last two days, Nitchanan, Lisa and Daku have been having little bonding sessions.  Following Lisa’s lead, Nitchanan has grown more confident and loving around Daku.  She’s giving him hugs and even kissed him on the nose.  We will all miss them.  Yeah, we’re grown-ups, we can handle it, he said.

Today’s photos show Cat giving her speech and receiving her award.

Have a Happy Tuesday.

                       Peace,
                                 Danny
