Imagination

Hi,

It was a quiet day on the compound. A little early morning web drama, waterfall corrections, and the running of the dogs. We drove by the Night Bazaar (NB) and ran into friends.

"...__ __ __ __ __ __ __....Who needs a heart when a heart can get broken?" Clue: A cynical song about the nature of relationships. What? Many knew this one so I know it's easy.

This morning we were in our usual routine. Get up at 6am with Daku and go downstairs. I take him out for a run around the yard while Lisa fixes his breakfast and ours. Then we go upstairs and check our mail, and the headlines over breakfast. That's when it began. We both got notices from CAT saying something about an incorrect pass word. In other words, the network was down. It would be another 2 hours before the CAT office opened. I waited until 8:30 and called Khun Nucha. He informed me that he was in Chiang Mai, but would call the office and have someone fix it. Sure enough, a few minutes later our internet was back. Late this afternoon I got a call from Nucha, checking to make sure everything was alright. Amazing.

The August Chronicles: August, the piano player had another recital a few months ago and he played a Russian composition. Jeff, his dad, posts all of August's performances on YouTube. This latest clip has surpassed his others as far as 'views'. The majority of them are coming from Russia. I guess that makes Mr. August an international 'item'. In news closer to home, he's been asked to be the DJ at the school Halloween party. He's very proud of this since it means a write-up in the school paper and everyone from the school is invited, not just his class. He's still inventing this and that, and plugging things in.

We went back to the NB this evening and ran into a friend of Boot's. She was working at her sister's booth selling shirts. We stopped by and realized that her sister is a woman we made friends with when we first got to Chiang Rai. Our world here is getting smaller.

Have a Happy Tuesday.

Peace,
Danny
