Walls

Hi,

Even though we’re not in the hot season, the daytime temps can get pretty ‘warm’.  The reason it’s not the ‘Hot’ season is the overnight temps.  They are still about 30 degrees (F) cooler than the daytime.  It’s when the air is hot day and night that the season gets a new name (555).

The ‘Old School Friday’ song was “Who Wrote The Book Of Love” by The Monotones.  ‘Easy Monday’ has been around on our play list for years.  Hope you remember this:  “There’s a port on the western bay and it serves a hundred ships a day.  Lonely sailors, pass the time away, and talk about their homes.  And there’s a girl in this harbor town, and she works layin’ whisky down.  They say ‘__ fetch another round’.  She serves them whiskey and wine.  The sailors say, ‘__, you’re a fine girl, what a good wife you would be.  Yeah, your eyes could steal a sailor from the sea.”  Hint:  The title is the name of a person and that name is also the name of a beverage she probably serves.  Hmm.  Easy?

We had a great weekend in Chiang Mai.  Saturday night we had dinner at a big restaurant by the river with a few hundred like-minded people.  The food was good, desserts were great, and the company was a lot of old and new friends.  We didn’t stay for the whole show, so we missed the fire dancer.  We did come home with memories.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch (555), JaiDee was partying with Natcha and Gong and their extended family.  She and Gong had exercised JaiDee before the party so he was not too crazy at the party.  Natcha’s sister and brother and their families, Gong’s sisters' families, etc. made for a full patio of happy people.  JaiDee ran around with the kids and had a good time.

We got home on Sunday in time to relax before going to see Maw Dang for our acupuncture.  Our friend Atom went with us and it was lucky she met us at the house.  When I backed out of the carport, Gong noticed that we had a flat tire so Atom drove us.  Today we got it fixed and discovered there had been a huge nail in it.  It took 15 minutes and cost about $4.80.

As we begin week four, we’re starting to miss certain things.  Actually, there’s probably a lot of things, we just can’t remember.  Salad would be nice.  It was interesting, eating in restaurants over the weekend and trying to stay close to the diet.  We stayed close to the recommended foods, but a few times hunger won.

Have a Great Week.

                        Peace,
                                  Danny
