Joy

Hi,

Today was one of those blue sky, 'warm air' days that would make summer vacation the best thing ever.  Scattered clouds came and went but it was mostly clear.

The ‘Middle Song’ by Simon & Garfunkel is actually a ‘Zany Day’ song if you think about it.  The second verse make that clear:  “Hide it in a hiding place where no one ever goes.  Put it in your pantry with your cupcakes.  It’s a little secret, just the __ affair.  Most of all, you’ve got to hide it from the kids.  Coo coo ca-choo, __ __, Jesus loves you more than you will know, wo wo wo.  God bless you please, __ __, heaven holds a place for those who pray, hey hey hey, hey hey hey.”  Clue:  The song is from a 1966 LP.  The person in the title is a woman.

The big news of the day:  Daku is back at home and so happy.  We are also very happy.  One of the doctors at the hospital, Dr. Thom, stayed with Daku the first night studying his blood test and making sure he was OK.  We have to take him back on Saturday for a check-up.  All of the staff at the office know and love Daku and, as Natcha puts it, he makes people happy.  He slept a lot today, getting over the trauma of living in a cage for two days.

This morning we went to The Wanderer for coffee.  Kwan gave us some food for the trees in the yard.  One of the tablets can serve 100 liters of water.  We will be breaking them into tiny pieces for our yard.  Everything will get watered with this ‘food’.  They use it in their ‘woods’ and it keeps things healthy.

The tree in this photo is very old, probably older than the rest of the woods.

Have a Thrilling Thursday.

                     Peace,
                               Danny

“I slept and dreamt that life was joy.
I awoke and saw that life was service.
I acted and behold, service was joy.”
