Hi,
Once the morning haze burned off, it was a pretty nice day. We still don't have clear skies, but it's bluish. Today we met a friend for lunch, exploration continued, and we visited a friend on her birthday.
For some, this song was 'Easy'. If you haven't thought about it, maybe this will bring it into focus. It's irresistible.
"Whoa, you like to think that you're immune to the stuff, oh yeah. It's closer to the truth to say you can't get enough, you know you're gonna have to face it, you're __ __ __."
Our day got off to it's usual start. I've noticed that the mornings have been cooler, which is a mixed blessing. It means cooler days, but it also means a cooler pool. Hmm.
Blue, Lisa, and I went downtown late in the morning to look for used books, and odds and ends. Lisa found a couple of books at a tiny little shop we check out from time to time. They wrap all the books in plastic, which makes it difficult to browse but today the person working the desk was willing to unwrap a few. We had a 1pm lunch date with Khun Jaffee at Big C, and had some time on our hands. We strolled over to Connect Cafe and had refreshments, stopped by the herb store, and the health food store. On our way to the car we shopped at Boots and the pharmacy warehouse. I guess we got a lot accomplished.
We arrived at Big C early so we wandered around looking at this and that until time to go to Black Canyon for lunch. Today I tried something different and it was quite good. It was bow-tie pasta in tomato sauce and I had them use chicken instead of ham. Blue and Jaffee discussed the concept of having a show of Blue's photos here in Thailand and also doing another version of his book on the Hill Tribes. http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/543637 There was lots of positive energy at the table and they're meeting again tomorrow.
We got an email from Sam and Emma telling us they were in Bangkok. They'll leave tomorrow for Phuket and then go to some of the islands.
This afternoon Blue went back up to BaanDam (The Black House) to take more photos. He also drove up to a village that's fairly new and saw some old friends. Tomorrow he and I will drive down to an Akha village where our friend Libby lives. Another adventure into the unknown. We were told that we should come in either a truck or a motorcycle. Hmm, sounds like something we've heard before. Stay tuned.
Have a Happy Tuesday.
Peace,
Danny
