Forgive

Hi,

We had clouds all day.  There were glimpses of bright sun, and then it was gone.  No sign of rain yet tonight, but it’s early.  It’s not as bad as the forecasts so far.

This week’s ‘Zany Day’ tune was not a big hit for the group known for having hits.  Still, it’s fun.  “Three cool chicks, three cool chicks.  Walkin’ down the street, swingin’ their hips, spittin' up a bag of potato chips.  And __ __ __ did three big flips for three cool chicks.”  Hint:  There is a number in the title.

By the time we took Daku out for his morning exercise, the overnight rain had soaked in and the lawn was not too soggy.  The air was cool and he was in a running mood.

For some strange reason, when we got ready to leave for Big C, Daku thought he was going with us.  That would have been totally distracting for everyone (555).  One of the items we picked up was chicken sausage.  At the station that sells them they have a whole collection of ‘packaged’ meat.  As an attraction and a way of promoting good will, they give children balloon creations.  Some examples are in today’s photo.

Down the road from us, on the river side, there is some kind of major project going on.  We can’t see what it is because there are fields of tall corn in the way.  There has been heavy equipment moving earth and boulders, as well as dirt trucks.  I suppose I could just walk down the path they cut and see what’s happening.  Hmm, maybe I’ll do that.  The suspense is killing me (555).  The other option would be to go across the river and look from the other side.  A mystery is unfolding.

From time to time I mention how we come across translations from Thai to English that don’t quite make sense.  Sometimes they take on a life of their own.  “Eat kids so longevity…so I will swallow your brother right away!!”
That was the exact wording of a machine translation from our friends at Facebook.  Clearly, more work is needed.
Another part of the problem that arises when a person posts in Thai on Facebook and an English speaking person clicks on ‘translate’, the Thai person has no idea what the English reading person is seeing.  Oh, not good at all.

We didn’t see Neetchanon at all today.  She spent the whole day at her aunt’s house and when she came home she crashed.  I can just imagine all the fun that went on over there.  It’s almost like going to preschool.  It gives Natcha a chance to do things here, even though she misses her little girl.

Have a Thrilling Thursday.

                    Peace,
                              Danny
